Configurations

These sample configurations are presented to demonstrate the flexibility of the Thin Client architecture. With all applications running on the server (or the Internet) you can deploy a network very quickly.

These configurations can also be easily expanded when you add new users or a new office!

Typical Configuration

This configuration is a typical small office, lab or workgroup system. Note that existing PC's can be used in your network to perform compute intensive graphic/CAD applications or  to run devices like flat bed scanners. This configuration is connected to the Internet for electronic mail, web browsing and for remote support by Profile Technologies.

Multiple Location Configuration

When your organization has multiple locations, you can expand your thin client configuration enabling all users to use THE SAME DATA!

This configuration demonstrates the connectivity with a multiple location organization. The network is designed so the the appropriate bandwidth is made available so that each remote thin client device performs as it was local.

Accessing Your Office Remotely

At home or on the road, your organization can  have access to your network, if fact, their desktops will be identical wherever they are. No more difficult network connections, file transfers, multiple revisions or lost data.

Since the only data that moves from your server to the user is a representation of the data, remote performance is amazingly fast, even over a standard dial-up connection.

Using Legacy Personal
Computers

Although the ultimate device for a thin client network is a thin client device, legacy personal computers can also act as thin clients with the Windows Remote Desktop. Even Apple computers can connect to the network!

Platforms can range from 486 machines through Pentium 4 processors and will run on Windows 3.1/95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP.

Connecting With
Other Platforms

Many organizations today have applications running on a diverse array of platforms. Using the thin client model, these platforms can be accessed with the same device as Windows applications are being served.
