Profile Technologies, Inc. (Profile) is a Littleton, New Hampshire based technology solutions firm that specializes in a broad range of technology design and support services.

Profile specializes in the integration and maintenance of fully managed server based thin client computing solutions.  These solutions deliver the a complete desktop while eliminating the substantial expenses associated with the acquisition, maintenance and support of traditional PC networks.

As the personal computer has evolved over the last two decades, users have become enthralled with the interface and power that the devices afforded them.  The major drawback however (and one that has been experienced by every company regardless of size) is the continuous obsolescence and increasing costs to keep PCs productive.

In 1997, Profile’s founder, John Hamrick,  began to research the feasibility of deploying small, inexpensive terminal devices on the user’s desktop and running all applications on a centralized server.  These devices, which are commonly called thin clients, are responsible for displaying the user’s desktop while all applications run on the server. All data is stored centrally, under your full control.

By virtue of thin clients’ lack of moving parts and extreme design simplicity, they tend to run in excess of 300,000 hours between failures.  This is over 30 years!

Since this initial research, Profile has been involved in the installation of over 300 thin client devices in New Hampshire and Vermont serving a broad range of business, educational and health care clients.

Since many users share a single computing resource support of these users can be accomplished quickly and efficiently over the Internet using a virtual private network (VPN).  Profile's client's servers are constantly monitored, updated, and repaired primarily from its offices.

In September of 2003, Profile made the move to expand its business base by adding the technical and business personnel enabling it to deliver these solutions to an even larger customer base.
